I've been coming to this particular Apple store for years and have always received excellent customer service. The store itself is clean, bright, and spacious (typical of most Apple stores) with plenty of inventory on the shelves and products on display. Employees are easy to pick out and there is usually one or two at any given time who are available to assist you. For the Genius Bar specifically–as long as you make your appointments online and arrive on time, you are generally attended to pretty quickly.
I haven't been to this Apple Store in a long time so my last experience kept my expectations pretty high. Well first of all when walking in there, there was no greeting and I had no idea who to talk to. So I walked around for 10 minutes looking at phones then I noticed a man taking names in his tablet but I couldn't talk to him right away because he was helping 3 other people while other employees were standing in back. I understand there's a protocol but when one person is busy shouldn't another person step in? Anyways finally when I talked to him he told me to wait for five minutes by the phones "a person will help me". I went over and waited and then observed all the other employees who were standing around. I finally decided to just leave because obviously no one wanted to help me. I'm really disappointed in this service I don't want to go back there.
Absolutely amazing, a women with a bit of pink die on her bangs helped me and was amazing. I regret not asking her what her name was. I wanted to get a case for my iPhone 8 and I wanted a red battery case. I asked a man if he had it in stock and he told me to ask her. I went over and asked her and she right away helped me. After she checked everything and finally got it for me, as it was coming I asked her what might the price be. She right away calculated it in her head and got the right answer with the tax and everything. Then she asked me if I wanted to work at apple when I get older, I said yes. She then told me that when she first started working at apple she helped a kid just like me. Soon that exact kid came to work at Apple. Then she told me that he went to Coupertino,CA (Apple’s headquarters) and became a chief designer for apple products. That really inspired me to come to apple when I get older. As I got the product I asked if she took cash and she said absolutely and made a joke. Overall she was great and she definitely deserves a promotion!!!
Good, and annoyed. I went to buy a new iPhone 7, the girl that took care of me was pleasant, told me if nothing was wrong with my old phone to wait till new one came out because the prices would drop. I appreciated her being honest. Then I showed her a problem I was having with my iMessage, she had never seen that problem, nor had another associate she showed it to. Insisted I had to call Apple support and make a telephone appointment. I was ready to leave when my friend insisted I go back in and see why one of the geeks couldn't help me. Finally they had me go in the back to the Geek help section and a very pleasant girl came to help. After 30 minutes or so, she got my problem corrected. What is the Apple Store and the Geeks that work there good for? I and other people have the impression you go there for support and help, NOT to be told you have to make a telephone appointment! Not totally pleased with service at Rockaway Mall NJ Apple Store.
