Ultimately,the problem with guest purchasing airfare on their own at such a late date is one or two guest will get a great rate and the others will not because they will all be leaving and returning on the same dates at the travel agents suggestion. Because the flight is being booked at such a rapid rate more than likely the airline will increase the ticket due to the demand. This would not have happened had the guest not be encourage by the travel agent to wait for group airfare. All of this could have been avoided, but at the guidance of the travel agent my guest and myself trusted Liberty and were ultimately mislead. As I have stated before I have traveled with Liberty before and had a wonderful experience which is why we choose Liberty Travel for our wedding and this has been the worst experience I have ever had with making arrangements. If we weren't 2 months out from our wedding I would dissolve this entire thing. However, this is defiantly a lessoned learned for future travel. I would never travel with Liberty Travel again nor would I recommend any of my family friends or associates to travel with them either.

Let me start by saying this, I am a returning customer with Liberty Travel because I had such a wonderful experience with them from prior travel. Unfortunately, that is not the case this time around!!! At our travel agent's suggestion, group airfare was presented as an option for a group of our size. When our guests contacted our agent to inquire about purchasing airfare, she specifically told them to hold off on purchasing airfare until she got the group rates. This gave our guests the impression that it would be a better option for them rather than seeking airfare on their own. It was misleading! I personally contacted our travel agent because time was running out and our guests were getting worried that rates were increasing-which they were, at which time she informed me she couldn't find any good "group rates". The "group airfare" rate was $800 per person. Had my guests known that it would be better to purchase airfare on their own, they would have done it sooner.
