Sorry Enterprise. You have lost a customer.

After we stopped to put gas in the vehicle I started it up, only to find that the air conditioning was not working. I called Enterprise to make use of the road side service I had purchased, and I was told that I had to take the vehicle to an Enterprise location. We were on the first day of our vacation, and we did not want to waste it in an Enterprise shop, let alone looking for one, we decided to proceed to our first night's reservation in Fredericksburg VA. Due to the lack of air conditioning it was a very uncomfortable ride.

On returning the vehicle to our original rental location, they gave us a credit for the first day. However, I still have to give Enterprise a bad rating for the following reasons:

I had rented vehicles at this location previously, with no problems. However, this time was different. They gave me a brand new vehicle, with minimal instructions on how to operate the various features. We started on our trip to Myrtle Beach early in the morning, with the air conditioning working. It was a warm day, necessitating the air conditioning.

Got multiple tickets for Expired Registration and Inspection. Called local branch for hours while before i proceeded on my 800 mile trip. Not once did they bother to answer the phone. Rented the car for a week and only used it 4 days because of this. I never once received a call back from corporate after numerous calls and emails. After calling the local branch for nearly 2 months and getting no where I drove down and finally got reimbursed by the local branch for the tickets. They still charged me for the week but hey they gave me a free weekend rental for future rental. As if I'll ever rent from them again.

It's when I rent from the other companies that I'm disappointed.

The staff was great. Knowledgeable and friendly. But overall the place could have used some cleaning. The cars were clean but the building could have used some help. Again, great people, it only took me a couple minutes to rent a car. Very convenient. I would just trade some putting practice for some vacuuming.

I've used this rental car location half a dozen times and always been happy with their customer service. Never once let down. They always make my car rental quick, easy and efficient.

Since it was a new vehicle, with about 50 miles on the odometer, I had purchased road side service, in case there was a new-car-type problem.

The next morning we found the nearest Enterprise location, and took the vehicle there. They were extremely helpful. They got the air working, and gave us full instructions on how to operate it. It worked perfectly for the rest of our trip.
